You do not need to use legal language or quote legislation. Please explain what has happened, which personal information is involved and what outcome you are seeking. If you are acting for someone else, we may ask for evidence that you are authorised to act for them.

What happens next

  • We will log and assess the complaint when it is received.
  • We will acknowledge it within 30 days.
  • We will investigate appropriately and without undue delay.
  • We will keep you informed where necessary and explain the outcome.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time.
